Rejected Bedtime Story

You all have heard of "The Princess and the Pea"...

Well, we have "The Prince and the Raisins" going "Live-Action" here.

I walked into Zane's room to get things ready for him to go to bed (while he was munching on a tortilla and drinking some milk) and found his giant Thomas the Train floor-pillow covering his bed and raisins scattered all over the floor.

I hope he doesn't get it in his head to do a "Live-Action" interpretation of "The Three Little Pigs"....

Where'd you get the floor pillow? I want one for Brandon.

Actually, Denita's mom made it for Zane. She just picked up some stuffing and Thomas fabric from the craft store and hand sewed it.

Cool. I saw a cuddle pillow online at Target, but didn't think it was the same thing.
Thanks!

Amanda: Mom says it's really easy. All you have to do is buy about two yards of your favorite fabric and some foam- or fiber-fill at the craft store. You fold the fabric over printed-side-inward and sew the two long sides together (by hand or by machine doesn't matter, as long as it's sturdy), then turn the resulting pillow-shell right-side-out, fill it, then stitch the end shut. Voila! Instant pillow! ;-)

I'm thinking of making several large "throw-pillows" for the living room of the new house...*grin*

I am a klutz when it comes to sewing, I even mess up replacing buttons, but my sister just started taking a sewing class...maybe I can have her make Brandon (and his brother) pillows for "practice". Heh.
